After four years of hard training, dedication and endless sacrifice for the Aussie Stingers, it appeared that the Olympics were just around the corner. The global pandemic, and subsequent postponement of the Olympic games, has proved a significant physical and mental challenge. The Aussie stingers must now adjust their bodies to deal with the fact that their challenging training regime will continue for another 12 months. This would be challenging for any human being. It is in times like this, that team spirit and unity are such important factors when staying mentally strong.
As they say, it is a great team who knows how to turn tough times into big wins. Our girls have shown that many times in the recent past. Whether that be the last second equalizer against USA in Perth, during the World League Super Final, the unprecedented win against USA in Brisbane, or their epic defensive effort against Russia which led the path to their historic Bronze at the World Championship.
Today, In the lead up to Easter, Aussie Stinger have shared a video prepared by Maddy Steere, showcasing their character, unity and team spirit. The video sends a powerful positive message to athletes around the globe.
