Serbian head coach Dejan Savic expressed that the quarter final of any tournament is the most unpleasant game, however he believes in his team is ready for the Spaniards
Serbia and Spain are set to come face to face in the European Championship quarter final. The game will be played at 3 a.m E.S.T.
In his pre-game interview Serbian head coach commented :
“It is always tough when two experienced team clash in the game that means everything. We are European and Olympic champions, they are European and World Championship silver medalist. It may appear that they play boring water polo, but in reality their game is packed with variety of combinations, drives and last moment solutions. Most of them play in the same team which gives them a significant advantage. Nonetheless I believe that we are 100 per cent ready for the challenge.
Tradition is on the side of the Serbian team, which never lost against Spain during European championships. However Spaniard have 3 wins in a row and have been more successful at World Championships in the past, so it is clear that this will be a great water polo spectacle.
