The 2019 FINA World Women’s Junior Water Polo Championship will be held in the Portuguese city of Funchal, between the 9th and 15th of September.
The Australian team, led by the experienced Georgina Kovacs, will be looking for a podium finish and thus continue the trend of their senior counterparts.
The team is placed in perhaps the hardest group of the tournament as they will be challenged by water polo power house USA, along with Hungary and the always unpredictable Japan.
In their opening game, Australia will be facing Hungary on the 9th of September at 18:00 (Australian Eastern Standard Time).
